Crossing the Hindu Kush Mountains

The Trip from Khodja Bahaudin to Kabul

The trip from Khodja Bahaudin to Kabul took four days. We avoided the main roads as the Taliban still controlled some of them, so our journey took us through river beds and dirt roads.

On our third day traveling south to Kabul we had to cross the Hindu Kush Mountain range. The line of vehicles on the dirt road was part of the convoy traveling to Kabul. This mountain range has an elevation of 15,000 feet.
